Our Story
DVC Contracting has been built on hard work, determination, and love for the trade. Owner Dave Van Camp started the company in 1990, when he was just 16 years old, running a 1957 D7 bulldozer as an owner operator. In those early days, Dave was stripping farmers' fields and digging ponds - laying the groundwork for what would become a lifelong career in earthworks.
By day, Dave was in the seat running his equipment and floating it from site to site. By night, he was under it, turning wrenches, making sure it was ready to work the next morning. That hands-on dedication kept the business moving forward and built a strong foundation for growth.
In 1991, he purchased his first cable pull scraper, and by 1994, DVC Contracting was officially incorporated. From there, the fleet grew steadily, expanding to include motor scrapers, bulldozers, and eventually rock trucks to take on larger and more complex projects.

Over the years, DVC Contracting has grown from a one-machine operation into a trusted name in heavy earthworks and excavation, proudly serving clients across Central and Southern Ontario with the same dedication and drive that started it all.
